The process of renewing your Kansas notary public commission is exactly the same as applying to obtain your first appointment. The application form is the same, and all required information, bond, and state filing fees must be submitted. The timely renewal of your Kansas notary commission is your responsibility. Be aware of your commission expiration date, and apply in plenty of time. Submit your application 30 days before the expiration of your term to avoid any lapse in your commission. If you are reappointed, you must not use your new notary seal until the first day of your new commission, and you must destroy your old seal.
Cost for a 4-year term- A great bargain at only $50.00!
Speed up the notary application process. Place your order before 12:00 noon CT and we will email you a pre-executed Kansas notary bond the same day. Mail your completed Kansas notary application, the pre-executed emailed notary bond, and a check of $25.00 to the Kansas Secretary of State’s office. Complete instructions regarding the application process are available via email when an order is placed. If you like to purchase bond and supplies at the same time, please choose one of the money saving packages listed below. We will mail you your supplies once your application is approved.
IMPORTANT: When ordering a notary package, enter your name exactly as you like your name to be on your notary commission. The bond and the stamp will be issued exactly as the name you enter above.
Packages prices do not include the $25.00 state application fee.
You should receive your prepaid Kansas notary bond, supplies and application in 4-7 business days.
You can add additional Kansas notary supplies to the above package. We highly recommend an Errors and Omissions (E&O) policy for your protection. The bond protects the public you serve – E&O policy protects you!
IMPORTANT: The Secretary of State does not have an online system for accepting applications completed and submitted online. Only MAILED applications with original signatures are currently accepted (DO NOT FAX). Your notary application also contains your personal information (S.S. #, D.L., DOB and address). If security is an issue do not store it or save it online.
